Origin:

Columnist Walter Whitney was amongst the first citizens to take to the streets and fight crime in the name of vigilante justice.

History:

Walter’s costumed persona, Bob Phantom, haunted the world of drug dealers and organized crime using an array of mysterious abilities including teleportation and matter-transforming mists. Walter, whose aging has slowed considerably, now goes solely by Bob Phantom and serves aboard the M.L.J.’s orbital watch station.
