PARAMOUNT PICTURES AND ARCHIE COMICS ENTERTAINMENT
AGREE TO DEVELOP LIVE-ACTION MOTION PICTURE OF
"SABRINA THE TEENAGE WITCH"


NEW YORK, September 13, 2004…Paramount Pictures and Archie Comics Entertainment have teamed to co-produce a live action theatrical motion picture based on the popular comic book and hit television series "Sabrina the Teenage Witch." Paramount and Archie Comics Entertainment will jointly represent a licensing and merchandising program surrounding the film with Viacom Consumer Products, the agent for both entities.

Said Allan Grafman, President of Archie Comics Entertainment: "We are delighted to join forces with Paramount for the production of a big screen version 'Sabrina the Teenage Witch.' It is clear that the Paramount production team shares our long-term vision for the brand, which encompasses pursuing a wide range of media and licensing opportunities."

"Sabrina the Teenage Witch" follows the extraordinary life of an ordinary teenager who just happens to have magical powers. The film is based on the "Sabrina the Teenage Witch" comic book character which has been published for decades. The character is already known through out the world and was the star of a primetime live action series in 1996-2003.

Chuck Grimes, CEO of Archie Comics Entertainment and Grafman will produce the film. Archie Comic Publications, Inc. Chairman Michael Silberkleit and President Richard Goldwater will serve as executive producers.
