After using weapons and equipment found there, including a brace of energy pistols as well as a strength enhancing body-armor, and conflicting with the Web along the way, Mateo confronted the drug dealer ultimately responsible for ordering the hit on him, therefore responsible for his sister's death. After meting out his own justice, he took the drug-dealer’s black bandana, fashioning it into a mask, and became the Black Hood.
