The Mighty Crusaders Handbook

PRESS RELEASE

From Pep Talk by Paul Castiglia

ARCHIE #535

Various & Stan Goldberg "Good Deed, Bad Idea" (by DeCesare & Goldberg): Archie offers his services as a 'do- gooder' absolutely free — but by the time he's done 'helping,' people will pay him to stay away! "A Non-Starter (by Boldman & Goldberg)": It's a case of engine envy when Archie's car responds to Jughead's TLC more than it does to Archie! "Doin' Homework" (by Crosby & Goldberg): Archie tries to 'make the grade' by having Betty and Veronica tutor him on alternate weeknights... maybe on the weekend he'll actually get some studying in! "The Stilt-Man Cometh!" (by Boldman & Goldberg): Archie is determined to become a stilt expert before the fad makes a comeback — if Reggie doesn't 'stick' it to him first! FC, 32pg $2.19

ARCHIE & FRIENDS #70,

George Gladir & Rex Lindsey "Where There's a Will... there's $$$": Riverdale High's baseball team finds themselves batting for big bucks when a wealthy graduate's will grants them five million dollars — if they can defeat their arch-rivals, that is! It looks like 'game over' when the boys lose... until Betty goes over the fine print and realizes the next day's girl's softball game counts, too! Will the girls 'step up to the plate' and show the boys how it's done, or will they 'strike out' too?! FC, 32pg $2.19

ARCHIE DIGEST # 198

Various The adventures of America's favorite teen continue with new stories and classic tales! Digest, FC $2.39

BETTY # 125

Kathleen Webb & Stan Goldberg "In the Name of Science": It's an exercise in patience... and running for cover... when Archie 'helps' Betty with her science project! FC, 32pg $2.19

BETTY & VERONICA #187

Various & Jeff Schultz "Rat Control" (by Webb & Shultz): Betty is on a mission to take care of all the 'random annoying things' in her life; when Veronica decides to do the same, Reggie and Jughead top her list! "The Troubles She's Seen" (by Webb & Shultz): Trouble is where you find it — and for Veronica that means 'agonizing' over what to wear, 'fending off' boys, and having other girls be jealous of her! This 'troubles' Betty, whose own problems are much less glamorous! "Well Coordinated" (by Webb & Schultz): Veronica calls the shots by calling Betty repeatedly and advising her what to wear. Will Betty be a fashion follower or develop a fashion sense of her own? "Birds of a Feather" (by Pellowski & Shultz): Veronica thinks Betty's new hobby is for the birds — and it is, when Betty joins a bird watching club! FC, 32pg $2.19

BETTY & VERONICA DIGEST #138

Various The adventures of America's favorite teen continue with new stories and classic tales! Digest, FC $2.39

JUGHEAD'S DOUBLE DIGEST #94

Various It's double-decker sandwiches and double-trouble as the irrepressible Jughead tilts the laugh-o-meter in this uproarious collection of new stories and classic tales! Digest, FC $3.59

Bill Golliher & Holly Golightly "Charm School": Sabrina gets an education in abracadabra when she enrolls in charm school. Can she pass the entrance exam without enchantment? More importantly, can she dodge the sabotage of a crafty rival? Move over, Harry — school is in session! FC, 32pg $2.19

SONIC THE HEDGEHOG #122

Various "Heart Held Hostage" Part One (by Bollers, Axer, & Tomas): The Sonic/Mina/Sally triangle comes to a head in this intriguing tale! Sally has been noticing Mina's attraction towards Sonic for many months now... and unfortunately she suspects that the feeling is mutual. Before she can confront them about their relationship, however, bounty hunter extraordinaire, Nack The Weasel kidnaps her! "Afterlife" Part Two (by Ken Penders & Art Mawhinney): This introspective story finds Knuckles pondering the early events of his past — from his parent's marriage to his infancy. Finally, Julie-Su and Vector the Crocodile have... a heart-to-heart!? Say it ain't so! By Ken Penders & Dawn Best. FC, 32pg $2.19

VERONICA #139
