Licensing Executive To Helm Licensing &
Merchandising For
Globally Renowned Archie Brand

- Archie Comics Entertainment, LLC has appointed Steven R. Herman as Vice
President, Licensing.
In the newly created position, Herman
will oversee all licensing and merchandising activities for the company's
world-renowned cast of characters, including
Archie, Betty, Veronica, Jughead and their Riverdale friends, Sabrina the
Teenage Witch, Josie and the Pussycats, Katy Keene and The Mighty Crusaders.
Herman joins a management team that
includes CEO Chuck Grimes, Allan Grafman, President and Co-Chairmen Michael
Silberkleit and Richard Goldwater (members of the founding family of the
venerable Archie brand) and Greg Battersby.

A veteran licensing executive, Herman
brings more than 20 years of industry experience to his Archie Comics
Entertainment position. Prior to joining Archie Comics Entertainment, Herman
served as Executive Vice President for Art Merchandising & Media and as
Vice President & General Manager for Parachute Consumer Products, where he
was responsible for managing the licensing program for the popular
"Goosebumps" book series.
Prior to guiding the successful licensing program for "Goosbumps,"
Herman served as Vice President of Worldwide Licensing for Hearst Animation
Productions and Marvel Comics Entertainment. Herman has also consulted with
such industry-leading companies as Marketing Equities International, Inc., IMG
(International Management Group), Balmur Entertainment (Canada), Merchandising
Muenchen (Germany), American Champion Entertainment, and Evening Sky
Productions. He began his licensing career in 1980 with Hanna-Barbera
Productions. A past treasurer of the Licensing Industry Merchandisers'
Association, Herman is an Honors graduate of George Washington University,
where he received his B.A., degree in Psychology.
