John Raymond Jr. was the
son of the original Web and a
criminologist like his father.
John continued in his father's footsteps as the Web and joined the
Mighty Crusaders. His wife Rose Wayne Raymond has
joined him on his adventures as the ultra hero Pow Girl. The Web
does not know Pow Girl is his wife.

Terrific Three fight the Spider and the Nameless One in MIGHTY CRUSADERS #5.

Synopsis: With an impostor blackening his good name, John Raymond begs his wife
for permission to become the Web again.

Comments: Rose Wayne Raymond is portrayed as being married to the Web in this
story, and is revealed to be the Jaguar’s sister, so it is probable that the
appearance of an older John Raymond, said to be the “father” of the current Web,
is a chronicler’s error. However it is because of this that we separate the Web
and Web II with the start of Mighty Comics.
The mystery killer whose identity is promised to be revealed in THE FLY #10
remains a mystery, as that issue was never published.
The next issue, scheduled to feature the Cat-Girl, was never published.
Synopsis: The Web and the Jaguar team up to thwart the murderous plot of the
Freelancer.
