So am I getting this right. The Mighty Crusaders are Archie Comics answer to Marvel and DC's superheroes line?

If so what was Impact Comics all about, did DC get the license to do Archie characters or what happened back in the early 90's?

Who owns the rights to the Archie superheroes today, and do any of you think we'll see any of them again anytime soon?
