Project Superpowers and its spinoffs?

Postby leonmallett » Fri May 01, 2009 3:35 am

Is anyone reading these?

I am and I have to say that so far I am really enjoying them. Now these are not the same characters as were published 60 or more years ago, I know, they have been reimagined through filters of modern sensibilities by the writers and especially by Alex Ross. That said I really enjoy all of the books they have put out in this line and hope to see more to come, if only for the stunning Ross covers and designs.

I need to get around to reading Terra Obscura to look at yet another take on the characters.

I have been enjoying the series and the spin offs. The Black Terror mini is taking its time to come out. But I like the idea of the world being taken over by the Super Heroes and the fighting between the heroes that took over and the golden age heroes that came back. Volume 2 is the return of the sidekicks and that should be fun too.

I am still enjoying the related series, but I wish they (Dynamite) would put a little more thought into their schedule, so that books from the PSU appear in a way that each week or every couple of week there is a new book rather than getting two in the same week. It just would help sustain a sense of momentum for me, especially given the delays that have been experienced.
