Thanks for the link Rik. I didn't know anything like this was coming. Will this be French-language reprint or English language new material, do you know?

Are they (Organic) working on (new?) Fly books as well perhchance?

This will be French-language and new material. Everything else depends on sales.

Curious why this would be published in France and not the United States. Is the comic book industry healthier over there? Don't understand how to order it, either. Any way to simplify it for us non-French speaking fans?

I don't speak French either.
I plan on ordering a copy.
They are working on it now for December/January publication.
I will let you know more when I know more.
I am currently talking to both Jim Simon and Reed Man about this project.

It would really rock if they did a new ADVENTURES OF THE FLY comic!

I'd love to see something new like this - in English. If I ordered it then I'd be doing so only as a collector not a reader (my French lessons ended 18 years ago alas). If you hear any news about English translations please let us know.

Regarding European consumption of comic books - there is a strongly supported sequential art medium over here (well mainland Europe moreso than UK). A lot of the material is an album form (well except for the UK where 'kids' humour comics, 'adult' humour comics, US reprints and 2000AD are the dominant forms), what many might consider akin to a graphic novel, and without the superhero dominance. Which for me is a shame, as I love superheroes...

I have added a comment to support English-language publication.

Will be available early 2010 in large format hardback album.

Thanks for finding that. Unfortunately they aren't selling it at that link. But it is great to see the images.

In French presumably? Or is there any confirmation of an English language version?

We are looking forward to a great character and story, and hope to expand the first issue into an on-going a series for the English-speaking markets with a major publisher here in the United States. Organic Comix will be handling the French market. We also hope to pick up other language markets as well. Thanks for all the support!

Please let us know when you have the English-language series sorted out (or even just one-shot if it comes to that). Thanks Jim. :)
