The Hangman in Brazil

No History on MLJ Comics in Brazil Yet

In PORTAL ZINE #41, Second Quarter 2002 Jose Pinto de Queiroz Filho wrote an article about the Hangman. Hangman, in Portuguese, means literally, Enforcer so he was called "O Vingador" instead, (Portuguese is the language of Brazil). He first appeared in GLOBO JUVENIL MENSAL # 17. In the 1940's the MLJ Heroes were published in "GLOBO JUVENIL MENSAL", there version of Pep Comics.

The Comet first appeared in Brazil in the pages of the GIBI MENSAL #238, September 1940.

That's all we have so far.

I thank Jose Pinto de Queiroz Filho for the information

and Shawn Clay of

www.goldcomics.com

for posting it in Portuguese on his site.
